Advice from Broad Magazine on Crafting a Cover Letter

Sure, I’ve sent work out for publication and have been pretty lucky to place in a contest and get a few by-lines in literary journals, but I still have my moments of doubt when I craft a cover letter to accompany the essays I’ve worked so hard to present to an editor. I don’t want to blow my chances before they even read the first line.

So, as I prepare to send out a piece of flash non-fiction to a few magazines, I review the guidelines for writing really nice cover letters that will represent me and my writing well.

Here’s some advice from Broad Magazine about writing in this poetic, little mystery genre.
