Want to “Cover” a popular song on YouTube?

Christiane Kinney explains the ins and outs of mechanical and synchronization licenses that are required to perform a popular song on YouTube.  This article also gives information on how YouTube thinks about copyright in regards to music.

This is well written and easy to understand. Highly recommended.
